New to Next BIG Nashville 2008 is the NBN 08 Music Conference presented by The Recording Academy and Emma Email Marketing, featuring a full slate of daytime conference activities. Open to all participating bands and other VIP Badge holders, the NBN 08 Music Conference will feature two full days (Thu., Sept. 11 & Fri., Sept. 12) of panels, demonstrations, exhibitors, receptions and performances at the Musicians Hall of Fame as well as two special panels at the Country Music Hall of Fame's Ford Theater on Thu., Sept. 11 including a keynote conversation with Ben Folds and a Co-Writing panel featuring Dan Wilson (Semisonic, Dixie Chicks), Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket, Chris Thile) and Kevin Griffin (Better Than Ezra, Howie Day).

Pulling from Nashville’s deep and diverse pool of music and music business luminaries as well as invited guests from New York, Los Angeles and beyond, the NBN 08 Music Conference will feature a star-studded group of panelists speaking on a variety of topics effecting the business with a particular emphasis on "21st Century DIY."
